I came across this article as it’s something I was considering to recreate. As someone who uses Craiglist on a regular basis, I still prefer the original design in comparison to what’s been created. The UI has been improved, but it doesn’t look anything like Craigslist. There’s too many design flaws, the biggest being the repositioning of certain UI components which have no reason to be moved.

In terms of UX, not much needs to be changed. UI, maybe. There’s a reason why this site still exists and is as popular as it has always been. The UX already works.
